For three decades, Christi Proctor Hurst has designed richly layered velvet beds from her Waco workroom, one custom order at a time.

Christi has been a customer of ours for years, choosing our velvets for her work. We reached out to bring her signature point of view to a collection of her own, making the drama and detail of her custom interiors available in a made-to-stock assortment.

Moon Rein is for the bedroom that makes you pause at the doorway: inviting, unforgettable and full of personality.

Bold, romantic and unmistakably Western, Moon Rein layers rich color, sumptuous velvet and expressive detail into a look made to command attention in any room.

The Material

Velvet, her signature for thirty years. Deep enough to hold a shadow and catch the light in the same square foot.

The Pieces

Bedspreads with triple-drop skirts, statement pillows, long lumbars and neckrolls, coordinating drapery and throws. Built to layer, not to match.

The Palette

Warm earth tones and saturated jewel tones. Opulent, never polished.

About Christi Proctor Hurst

Christi Proctor Hurst has designed out of Waco, Texas for more than thirty years. Baylor-trained and ASID-accredited, she founded Design Resources in 1991, helped create what became Spice Village, and was a cast designer on TLC's Trading Spaces.

She is also a competitive reining horsewoman, which is where the name comes from. The rein, and a ride under a full moon.

Her rule has not changed in thirty years. Opulence, always with rough edges. Never polished, never rustic, never costume.
